Program of the Balearic Government (Conselleria d'Empresa, Ocupació i Energia), first from the IDI and later from ADR Balears, which pairs local designers with workshops and artisans to produce pieces with local materials and techniques. Direct heir to the Made in Mallorca exhibition.

  • LOOP HORECA (03/20/2024, Hotel Nixe Palace): ~20 prototypes (aprons, armchairs, luggage rests, lamps, towels, bags) with hotel post-consumer waste collected by Fundació Deixalles. Designers: Cecilia Sörensen, Nicolás Guevara, Anabel Ribas, Margarita Payeras (Suro Swimwear), Paula Chacartegui, Jandro Bonet, Adriane Escarfullery, Amarar Tramuntana, Sara Regal. Workshops: Deixalles sewing, Es Ministeri, Fusteria MAC Insular, Ebenisteria Escaire.
  • Playing whip (9/11-1/12/2024, Església del Roser, Pollença): furniture in Tramuntana pine felled by typhoon Juliette (2023), produced by the Germans Adrover carpentry shop; design by Aulets Arquitectes, Isla Architects, 110 Mallorca Studio, Edicions de Disseny La Pecera and Sara Regal.   • LOOP Brodats (11/28-30/2024, Espai 110 Mallorca, Inca): garments, footwear and pieces with Mallorcan embroidery by brodators Francisca Moyà, Miquela Ballester, Catalina Trias and Magdalena Trias, for Datura, Edicions de Disseny LPM, Carmina Shoemaker , Cecilia Sörensen, Open Studio 79 and Chiara Ferrari Studio.   • 2024 (March): IDI LOOP day with hoteliers (Xarxa d'Hotels Sostenibles, FEHM).
  • 2024 (Nov.): Play fusta (Pollença) and LOOP Brodats (Inca), already under ADR Balears.

Why is indigenous design

It is the clearest public program of recent artisan × designer collaboration: living craft (embroiderers, carpenters) + contemporary design + material from the island, with historical research included.
